Ormerod hopes for new deal

Veteran striker Brett Ormerod is hoping he has done enough to persuade Blackpool to offer him a new contract.

The 32-year-old returned to Bloomfield Road in January on a short-term deal and has scored two goals in 14 appearances for the club.

Ormerod spent four years with the Seasiders earlier in his career and is hoping to be offered a new deal by the Championship outfit.

"I'm 32, but I feel I can still do a good job at this level," said the former Southampton and Preston striker.

"I'm probably not as prolific, but I think I've grown up a lot as a player."
