Ollie wants Adam to shine

Holloway has challenged wantaway skipper Charlie Adam to shine against Sir Alex Ferguson's United but Crainey will miss the game this evening. Blackpool have not dismissed Adam's transfer demand. But unless Liverpool increase what the Seasiders say is an "unacceptable" ¦pound;4million offer, the 25-year-old will not be allowed to leave."If he shines Tuesday night Manchester United might want him," said Holloway."Charlie is the best I have seen for a long time and he is only going to get better. That left foot is magical."I want to get Charlie where he should be; at one of the top four teams in the country."Next week he might be focusing on Champions League. He would do that with my blessing. But we need to be compensated properly."To that end he has challenged Liverpool to "put up or shut up" knowing chairman Karl Oyston is intent purely on Blackpool's survival, on and off the pitch, and has a distaste for the manner in which the whole transfer saga is being conducted. The argument goes that if the former Rangers star is not granted his dream move now, it will never happen because by the summer Liverpool will have turned their attentions elsewhere. It is a theory Holloway rejects completely."Will I ever have the same Charlie Adam? I don't know," he said."But this is his first season in this division. And before our game on Saturday we were 10th even though our total budget is less than Carlos Tevez earns in a year. Charlie has been a major part of that. If he loses his spirit it would be a crying shame."Crainey to miss United clashBlackpool boss Ian Holloway has confirmed defender Stephen Crainey will miss the game with Manchester United with an ankle injury, but striker DJ Campbell will play.Campbell missed Saturday's home defeat to Sunderland after being struck down by a bout of food poisoning.Goalkeeper Richard Kingson is also fit after being forced out of the weekend encounter as he needed stitches in a head wound."I am realistic about this game," Holloway said."When we were supposed to play Manchester United, they had just beaten Blackburn 7-1. They only won 5-0 against Birmingham, so that is a bit better."If we are not two goals down after 10 minutes I think we will have done well."
