Ollie pleased by second-half show

The visitors were second best in the opening period at Home Park and should have gone behind when Alan Judge fluffed his chance at an opener with the goal at his mercy.[LNB]Some choice words from Holloway resulted in a second-half improvement, though, and late goals from Charlie Adam and Stephen Dobbie ensured a win that moves them four points behind sixth-placed Leicester.[LNB]"It was a much better second half performance, we seemed to forget about our game plan," Holloway said.[LNB]"I thought their front two caused us all sorts of problems and they had the best chance of the first half really, when Alan Judge slipped or missed or whatever. (Yannick) Bolasie was a handful.[LNB]"I managed to remind them what I wanted at half time and in the second half we settled down and got a couple of breakaway efforts that were clinically finished off - and that makes the difference."[LNB]Adam was the inspiration behind Blackpool's turnaround with the Scottish midfielder crashing a 20-yard effort off the post and forcing a spectacular save from home goalkeeper David Stockdale before his opener after 78 minutes.[LNB]"Adam is a very good player," Holloway added. "I thought we passed the ball around much better in the second half, we moved them around."[LNB]Recalled Argyle winger Judge missed his gilt-edged opportunity after 14 minutes following a defence-splitting through ball from Luke Summerfield, who had replaced injured captain Carl Fletcher after just seven minutes.[LNB]Visiting goalkeeper Matthew Gilks also made a double stop to block Bradley Wright-Phillips from close range shot after 23 minutes following a cross from Jamie Mackie.[LNB]Argyle winger Yannick Bolasie sent a 34th-minute half-volley at Gilks and went close again with a rising drive from the angle of the penalty area four minutes later.[LNB]Wright-Phillips also hit the post in a 67th-minute goalmouth scramble to leave Argyle boss Paul Mariner ruing his side's finishing.[LNB]"Of course I am disappointed, we could have been 2-0 ahead at half time and just didn't come out on fire in the second half," said Mariner, who now finds his side six points adrift of safety.[LNB]"We lost our skipper early on and still took the game to them. Ollie has got a decent side, they are up there looking at the play offs and we gave as good as we got.[LNB]"We had a chance just before they scored when young Joe Mason had a volley.[LNB]"If he had connected that would have been 1-1 but instead they go up the other end and score. That's football but I remain positive and we have got to keep fighting - and we will.[LNB]"We have got Barnsley here on Tuesday night and we go again."[LNB][LNB]
