New Seasiders deal for Evatt

Blackpool defender Ian Evatt has signed a new two-year contract with the Championship club.

Evatt, who arrived at Bloomfield Road in 2006, has made over 110 appearances for the Seasiders.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract," the former QPR and Chesterfield defender told the club's official website.

"I love it here at Blackpool. We have a great set of lads who work hard for each other, the staff are excellent and the supporters are something else. The atmosphere they create, particularly at Bloomfield Road, is second to none.

"Hopefully they'll see this as good news and they'll get behind the lads on Saturday in a massive game against Plymouth."
