Blackpool manager Steve McMahon has failed in his bid to sign
Manchester United defender Lee Roche to Bloomfield Road.
The 22-year-old full-back is out of contract at Old trafford and has also been linked with a move to Bradford City.
Roche made a brief Premiership appearance for United in the 5-3 win against Newcastle United last season and spent a year-long loan deal at Wrexham during the 2000/01 campaign.
"We have spoken to Lee, but it's no go," McMahon told the BBC.
