Holloway eyes derby boost
10 Feb 2010 - 13:44:27
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has issued a rallying cry to his beleaguered troops, insisting a win over Preston North End can kick-start their season.
The Seasiders lost 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night in what was the third successive defeat.
This is the first time Holloway has suffered a hat-trick of straight since taking over at Bloomfield Road and with over 5,000 fans expected to travel to Deepdale, he is adamant they can turn the corner on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters after the defeat, he said: "Am I despondent? You clearly don't know me yet. I'm as happy as Larry because I have got this job and I love it.
"I can't wait to play our next game. I'll have a good look at what happened last night and try and pick a team that can go to Preston and beat them.
"I don't think there is any better game for us than Preston at the weekend. We need that now."
