Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is finally set to strengthen his squad by snapping up three new players.
Mlada Boleslav's Ludovic Sylvestre, Manchester United youngster Craig Cathcart and out-of-contract Marlon Harewood are all set to sign for the Bloomfield Road-based club.
Harewood's agent, Phil Sproson, said: "Marlon's done well in training and he's been impressed by Ian Holloway and the players at Blackpool. We'll now see what's on offer and how it develops over the next 48 hours."
Meanwhile Bolton Wanderers defender Chris Basham could also be heading to the Seasiders after Trotters boss Owen Coyle confirmed: "Ollie rang me on Friday and informed me he was interested.
"I said I didn't want to lose Chris because he's a young player who we have high hopes for, but I can totally accept that young Bash wants to play.
"He probably feels the competition is fierce and he maybe thinks he's down the pecking order a little bit. I said that if Blackpool put forward a bid we thought was fair, then we'd allow them to speak to him.
"I'll always look to do the best business possible but, at this moment, Blackpool's offer isn't acceptable. I've kept Chris in touch every step of the way."
