Holloway: Adam staying put

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is adamant that star midfielder Charlie Adam will not be sold this summer.

The 24-year-old Scotland international was a massive hit in his first full season at Bloomfield Road, scoring 19 goals as the Seasiders gained promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

Adam was linked with several clubs in the January transfer window, but Holloway now says that a sale is out of the question.

He told the Blackpool Gazette: "If we had not got promoted, I think he'd have been gone already.

"But now we've gone up, I don't think wild horses would be able to drag him away."
