Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has dismissed speculation that he is about to leave the club.
Holloway is currently negotiating a new contract with the Seasiders after overseeing their promotion to the Barclays Premier League last season. Reports have suggested the 47-year-old is growing frustrated with the talks and may quit, but Holloway insists he is going nowhere.
"Anyone that thinks I would walk out on the club must be mad," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette.
He added: "For people to think that I would walk out without saying anything, and that Karl (Oyston, Blackpool's chairman) and I would fall out badly is quite ridiculous.
"My intention is to lead Blackpool in the Premier League next season and that's the chairman's intention too.
"It's gone on for a few weeks, but we are pretty close to sorting it out I think. We are still in talks.
"I hear all sorts of other things about me walking out, and I don't know where they come from."
Holloway stressed that his own personal situation is just one of many things to be dealt with at Bloomfield Road before the ground hosts top-flight football again in August, for what will be the first time in 39 years.
He said: "The thing is, the chairman does everything at this club. With us going up, the workload has been huge. He's had to prioritise.
"If you go to the ground you'll see there's a massive obstacle that he's had to get over, so he's had to concentrate on that. I agree with the way he's done it."
