Holloway rules out promotion talk

18 November 2009 16:08
Despite the Seasiders lying fifth in the Championship, Holloway has refused to think about promotion as he says there have been too many previous campaigns where things have turned sour.[LNB]"We have made a good start," he told the Blackpool Gazette. "But unfortunately in football nothing lasts - so you won't see me getting too excited.[LNB]"The lads know what I am like and in our own little way, together we know what we want to try and achieve and we talk about it all the time.[LNB]"But I can't start saying things like that publicly because you just end up with egg on your face and I don't want that. I've had that before and I'm not doing it again.[LNB]"I'll try to tell the fans what I am trying to achieve and tell them to be optimistic, but in the meantime let's just get on with it and keep enjoying it."[LNB][LNB]
