Holloway: Coid will play on right
The 27-year-old, who joined as a trainee in the summer of 1998, has signed a new two-year contract with the Championship club.
That was a major boost to new Seasiders boss Holloway, who admits he is a confirmed admirer of Coid.
The former Plymouth and Leicester boss told the club's official website: "I have told him where he is going to be playing and that is on the right.
"He won't be playing at left-back and he is happy about that.
"The one thing that has been clear whenever I have spoken to him is that he cares for Blackpool and that he wants to be at Blackpool and that is good enough for me."
