Holloway calls for 'urgent' signings

The Tangerines boss still hopes to bring Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam to Bloomfield Road and is believed to be close to securing deals for Oldham's Neal Eardley and Rotherham's Reuben Reid. But Holloway is frustrated at failing to land some of the players he has targeted and warned his side are not yet equipped for the new Championship campaign. He told the Blackpool Gazette: "I thought we'd done a deal a couple of Wednesday's ago - but that's dragging on and on. "Hopefully our new owners will see the lack of depth at Rochdale (where they drew 1-1 on Saturday) and realise that some of these targets are more urgent than we thought they were."
