Holloway admits to error

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has admitted the wrong player was substituted in the win over Wolves. He wanted to replace Luke Varney with David Carney and use the Australian just in front of left-back Stephen Crainey. However Crainey's number was displayed instead of Varney's and Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette : "We got it mixed up. "I wanted to take Varney off and put Carney on but we ended up taking off Crainey and it all got a little confused. "We took off a left-back when I wanted to leave him on and put another left-back in front of him to make us more solid for the last couple of minutes. "If it looked a positive substitution, then please accept that. If it looked an absolute nightmare and a 'what is he doing?' moment, then that's because I didn't want it to happen."
