Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has confirmed that he is on the lookout for several new players in the January transfer window.
The Seasiders are just two points clear of the Championship relegation places and Grayson wants to bolster his squad for the second half of the campaign.
He told the Blackpool Gazette: "We'll be trying to do business to freshen it up and get better quality players and make us a better all-round team, with the ultimate aim of making sure that we stay up.
"It's down to the individuals to make it a difficult decision for me to drop them.
"They need to have the attitude that no matter who I bring in, they are going to be playing so well that I can't drop them. That's up the individuals already in the team.
"But you do need to freshen things up, whatever position it is and keep people on their toes.
"Competition for places ultimately makes the difference between a good team and an average team."
