Blackpool manager Simon Grayson has swooped to sign Norwich City goalkeeper Matthew Gilks on a free transfer after allowing midfielder Wes Hoolahan to move in the opposite direction.
The 26-year-old former Rochdale shot-stopper has penned a two-year contract with the Seasiders, with the option of a further 12 months.
Gilks made almost 200 appearances for Dale before moving to Carrow Road last summer on a free transfer.
He was a regular on the substitutes bench last term, but failed to make a first-team appearance for the Canaries.
Norwich boss Glenn Roeder said of Gilks' departure: "I felt that with him being an experienced goalkeeper, he needed to get back to playing first-team football.
"With the excellent young keepers we have at the club now, including David Marshall, I couldn't see Matt playing too much football here and I felt it was the right thing to let him go."
