Grayson eyes Hammill stay

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson is hoping to be able to keep loan winger Adam Hammill at the club until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has joined the Seasiders on an initial six-month loan from Liverpool, but has already impressed Grayson in the opening three games of the new season.

Grayson told the Blackpool Gazette: "We've spoken about trying to keep him here for the full season. Liverpool and Adam want to see how things develop.

"It's only two weeks into the season and it's still another six months before his loan runs out, so we'll wait and see. But the way he is playing we'd like to keep him.

"His ambition is obviously to go back to Liverpool and get in their team and if we can help him do that, then it will benefit us because it will have meant he's played well for us."
