Gorkss plays down exit talk

Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss has played down speculation linking him with a move away from Bloomfield Road this summer.

The 26-year-old Latvia international enjoyed a fine season for the Seasiders and has recently been linked with the likes of Norwich City and Crystal Palace.

However, Gorkss told the Blackpool Gazette: "There have been a lot of rumours and nothing has happened. From rumours to really going somewhere is a long way.

"From my point of view it's just a case of carrying on and seeing what happens, that's all I can really do. I'll let other people worry about the other things.

"The only thing I have been trying to do is prove to myself that I can play in England and play at this level."

Gorkss has scored seven goals in 57 appearances since his arrival from FK Ventspils in January 2007.
