Fans reimbursed after nightmare trip

A serious accident on the M6 on Saturday morning resulted in a closed motorway and huge tailbacks. And the coach, despite setting off as early as 8am, failed to reach The Valley until the final few moments of the 2-2 draw. A club statement said: "We would like to apologise to the supporters who were booked on the club's official supporters' coach for the trip to Charlton. "Having left Bloomfield Road at 8am the coach, for a number of reasons, did not arrive at The Valley until 4.45pm. "As a result the club would like to offer those supporters a full refund on both their match and coach tickets and would like once again to apologise to those supporters who missed (the game)."
