Excited Holloway avoids p-word

Tuesday's 3-0 win over Middlesbrough has lifted Blackpool into the play-off places for the first time this season, but manager Ian Holloway is refusing to get carried away.

When asked about their league position by Sky Sports the former Plymouth Argyle boss replied: "Don't start talking about promotion. We need to stay up, that's what my chairman wants me to do."

Nevertheless, the 46-year-old suggested it was the best performance by any team he had managed for over eight years.

"We've got a group of people who are enjoying what they are doing, trying to learn their jobs," he added.

"I'm trying to tell them when they're in certain areas, what to do and why to do it."
