DJ move worried Olly

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has revealed he worried himself sick over signing the club's first £1million player. Striker DJ Campbell is poised to make his Barclays Premier League debut for Blackpool at Newcastle on Saturday after joining the Seasiders from Leicester on transfer deadline day. Holloway was concerned he would be unable to sign Campbell given his previous ill-fated time in charge of the Foxes in 2008 when he was sacked after the club were relegated from the Championship. "I probably had more sleepless nights over the last week or so of the transfer window than I've ever had in football," said Holloway to The Blackpool Gazette. "I was thinking my allegiance - however short and however wrong it was at Leicester - might have stood in the way of him (Campbell) coming here. "The stress of it all actually made me ill. I had a lump on my lip like a golf ball. It was a cold sore and I get them when I am stressed and tired out. But that's all down to DJ. I've wanted him so badly and I'd been putting so much energy into trying to get him."
