DJ making the right noises - Parkes

The Birmingham loanee is currently the Seasiders top goalscorer with a return of seven goals from 17 starts and was on target to score Blackpool's equaliser as they came from 2-0 down to draw with Reading on Monday. "It was important for DJ to score on Monday," Parkes told The Blackpool Gazette. "He lives on goals, like all strikers. He plays on the shoulder, like a proper goalscoring forward should. "He has never had his head down when things haven't happened for him, even though he hasn't always had the service he needs. "He has been great for us and hopefully he can get a few more goals in the last three games and I think he can. "When you've got that quality you are always capable of scoring a goal at any given time and that's what we've needed in this team. He's been a big player for us."
