Dickinson sees Rams future

Blackpool loan striker Liam Dickinson is determined to carry on the good work with the Seasiders in order to secure his future at parent club Derby County.

The 23-year-old joined the Rams from Stockport County in the summer, but was almost immediately loaned out to Huddersfield Town.

On returning to Pride Park, Dickinson left for a stint with Blackpool and marked his Championship debut with both goals in a 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle.

He said of his future plans: "I heard on the grapevine that (Derby boss) Paul Jewell isn't sure if I can hack it in the Championship.

"This was my first match at this level and I was in the right place at the right time. Now I'm going to prove him wrong and get my spot back at Derby.

"I feel that I do have a future with the club. He must have seen something in me when I was signed from Stockport in the summer.

"But I didn't have the best of times pre-season. I lost a bit of confidence and the manager wanted me to go out and get some games and score some goals."
