Blackpool defender Stephen Crainey is hoping to be back in action in just over a month's time, as he continues his recovery from a groin operation.
The 27-year-old Scotsman has not featured for the Seasiders this season, but is hopeful that he will soon be back in contention at Bloomfield Road.
He told the club's official website: "Hopefully it went well. I've been able to go straight on to the bike and doing some really light stuff.
"I'm delighted with that because I thought I would have been struggling for a week or two.
"They said six to eight weeks but different people react differently and I'm hoping the lower end of that scale to be honest.
"But I just need to take it day-by-day and hopefully keep progressing as well as I am now. I just want to be out there trying to help the boys."
