Coppinger pleased with vital victory

With three matches off because of frozen pitches, Coppinger believes it was important the South Yorkshire side picked up three points to continue their pull away from the relegation zone.[LNB]Coppinger said: "That was a great game to play in. We are learning a lot through the season and feel that we have the ability to stay in the Championship.[LNB]"It was an important one for us to win today with other clubs not playing. Blackpool are a good side and got a great win at Palace with 10 men last week.[LNB]"It was an exciting match and we knew we just had to keep going because there was so little in it at times."[LNB]Coppinger's 64th-minute strike proved decisive. The sides were level at 1-1 at the break after Rovers midfielder Brian Stock cancelled out David Vaughan's strike from distance with a long-range effort of his own.[LNB]The match ignited after the restart as three goals in 10 minutes tipped the game in Doncaster's favour as they went on to claim their fourth successive away win.[LNB]Sam Hird put the visitors 2-1 up in the 54th minute but Blackpool equalised immediately through DJ Campbell before Coppinger hit the winner after being played in by Stock.[LNB]The home side's misery was compounded when on-loan Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam was sent off on his debut.[LNB]Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll said: "It was an exciting game between two well matched sides.[LNB]"I thought we did really well to come back from being one nil down.[LNB]"Our finishing was particularly good and that was our fourth away win in the league on the trot. You can't do that unless you finish well.[LNB]"I have no problems with the sending off. If my player was stamped on the man had to go. Richie Wellens is not the sort of player to try and con the ref."[LNB]Blackpool manager Tony Parkes said: "Last week we defended heroically at Palace but this week we left holes at the back and Doncaster exploited them.[LNB]"You don't concede three at home and really expect to win, although when DJ Campbell grabbed that second goal for us I thought we were in with a shout - but Rovers came back again.[LNB]"As far as the sending off is concerned the referee must have had a pretty clear view."[LNB][LNB]
