Blackpool stalwart Danny Coid has signed a new one-year contract with the Championship new boys, with the option for a further year.

The 25-year-old utility man is the club's longest-serving player and has made almost 300 appearances for the Seasiders since making his first-team debut almost eight years ago.

Boss Simon Grayson told the club's official website: "I'm delighted we've agreed a deal with Coidy.

"He can provide excellent cover on either side of the defence, he's technically very good and I'm sure, if he stays injury-free, he'll be a real asset."
