Charlie Adam staying at Bloomfield Road - Oyston
Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has revealed that Liverpool's deadline-day bid for Charlie Adam was nowhere near acceptable and the midfielder will be remaining at Bloomfield Road at least until the Summer. Pool look set to add Saints winger Puncheon with last minute signing. The Reds have had two bids, the latest of £6.5million made on Friday, rejected and Holloway claims their director of football strategy Damien Comolli has been trying to get back in touch to continue negotiations.However, the Seasiders' boss earlier claimed Oyston was refusing to return calls or answer messages, saying: "I spoke to Kenny Dalglish the other day and he made an improved offer. I talked to the chairman about it and he turned it down. Damien Comolli has now tried to contact Karl but he hasn't returned his calls."He added: "He hasn't got to has he? It's pretty rude isn't it but if we run out of time...."He (Oyston) is trying to get people in before he deals with someone else."But I can't run that because it is none of my business. The 24-year-old's loan move has been agreed by the two clubs but Blackpool say it is still subject to Premier League and Football League clearance. Puncheon has already spent time on loan at Millwall this season, where he scored five goals in seven appearances. The player was also part of the Southampton team that beat Blackpool in the FA Cup in January. Puncheon joined Saints in January 2010 on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Plymouth. The player started his career as a trainee at MK Dons and played for Barnet before joining Plymouth for £250,000 in June 2008. He spent time on loan at MK Dons in 2009 and had brief spells in non-League football with Fisher Athletic and Lewes early in his career
