Campbell expects Adam to stay
Blackpool striker DJ Campbell is confident Charlie Adam wants to stay at Bloomfield Road.
Having been instrumental in getting the Seasiders promoted last term, Adam has continued to impress in the Barclays Premier League this season, captaining a side that has defied expectation by accruing 28 points from their opening 21 fixtures.
The Scotland midfielder's form has won him plenty of admirers and he has been linked with several clubs during the January transfer window, with Blackpool rejecting bids of £2.5million and £3.5million for him from Aston Villa.
Losing the likes of Adam could prove disastrous for the Tangerines' campaign and manager Ian Holloway is adamant that he will not be selling the 25-year-old to Villa, while Campbell has no doubt the skipper - along with the rest of the squad - is happy to stay put.
"It is vital that the club keeps hold of all of us because we have all been in it together," Campbell told Press Association Sport. "Obviously Chaz is a great player and I am sure he wants to stay - I know he wants to stay. If we can keep everyone together and add a few, we will be fine."
He added: "I think the lads are happy here and everyone wants to stay here."
