Blackpool could have striker Ben Burgess back in the side for next weekend's relegation six-pointer against Plymouth Argyle after a three-month lay-off.
The targetman suffered a knee injury in January and wasn't expected back until April at the earliest, but the 28-year-old has just returned to training, giving him a week to prepare for the Seasiders' next clash.
"I have been running and doing some ball work for the last two or three weeks" Burgess told the official club website.
"But Tuesday morning was my first proper training session.
"I am back a couple of weeks sooner than I would have thought.
"I'm not going to play in the reserve game against Burnley (on Wednesday) but I might be available for the Plymouth game, that decision is down to Tony (Parkes)."
