Boss slams Adam decision

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has branded the decision to show Charlie Adam a yellow card in Saturday's 1-0 victory at Stoke as "absolute nonsense". Adam received the booking - his fifth of the campaign - from referee Anthony Taylor in the first half at the Britannia Stadium following an aerial challenge with Dean Whitehead. It means the Seasiders captain will miss his side's Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham next weekend, and Holloway felt the match official made the wrong call. "I thought Charlie's booking was absolute nonsense," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette. "He won a brilliant header. You've got to try to win headers in games like this and he went for it. Their fella was rolling about on the floor. "Charlie must have caught him but I don't think he meant it."
