Bluebirds working to beat big freeze

The wintry conditions that have swept Britain this week show no sign of relenting as the weekend approaches and, with more snow and sub-zero temperatures forthcoming, sports events almost everywhere are being wiped out.[LNB]But the Bluebirds are working around the clock to ensure the club's new Cardiff City Stadium will be ready for action along with the surrounding areas.[LNB]Last month's scheduled Championship clash against Leicester was postponed due to a frozen pitch with the undersoil heating at the club's state-of-the-art arena not yet fully functional but that problem has been rectified and the playing surface is in good condition.[LNB]Dave Jones put his players through their paces on the pitch on Tuesday and are expected to return for another session on Thursday.[LNB]The focus is now on clearing remaining snow and ice from the stands, car parks and all areas and approaches around the stadium to ensure the encounter gets the green light.[LNB][LNB]
