Blackpool sign third loanee

Blackpool caretaker boss Tony Parkes has raided Sunderland for a second time this week to sign Roy O'Donovan on loan until the end of the season.

O'Donovan has joined fellow Black Cat Graeme Owens on loan at Bloomfield Road.

O'Donovan had been loaned out to Scottish Premier League side Dundee United earlier in the season after making 19 appearances for Sunderland since his arrival in 2007.

He could figure in the weekend's fixture with Birmingham City as he linked up with his new team mates on Friday morning.

Parkes said: "We are delighted to have signed Roy, there were a lot of other clubs in for him and we are delighted he decided to come to us.

"We are also grateful to Ricky Sbragia for allowing him to come to us until the end of the end of the season.

"Roy has bags of pace and in Ireland he was a proven goalscorer."
