Blackpool draw leaves Holloway happy
28 Nov 2010 - 12:29:12
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway was delighted with his side after their 2-2 draw at Bolton Wanderers despite watching them squander a two-goal lead.
Ian Evatt and Luke Varney fired them ahead, but late efforts from Martin Petrov and Mark Davies ensured the points were shared at the Reebok Stadium.
"We were brilliant, a little bit naive, but to play like we did against Bolton in the form they were in," he said.
"I believe that playing like that will get us more points than it loses us. I am not disappointed. I thought my team were absolutely brilliant; we came here, took the game to them, passed it and moved it and created a lot of chances.
"DJ Campbell deserved to get two goals and how he didn't I don't know. Jaaskelainen made a vital save because if we had got a third goal it would have been sayonara.
"Unfortunately it wasn't and the last goal was a brilliant goal so I'm not even upset about it. I can't be disappointed with that performance. I thought we were fantastic.
"I don't think I've ever enjoyed a match so much in my life. We caused them, a really good side, some problems and how we haven't got all three points I don't know - but that is football for you.
"I would have paid to watch that."
