Blackpool coach 'suffers stroke'

Blackpool youth coach Gary Parkinson is an "extremely critical" condition after suffering a stroke, according to a local newspaper report.The former Burnley, Preston and Middlesbrough defender is being treated in Manchester's Hope Hospital after being switched from the Royal Bolton. The Lancashire Telegraph said Parkinson, 42, had suffered a stroke. A Blackpool statement read: "Head of youth Gary Parkinson is in an extremely critical condition."
