Blackpool boss defends Burgess

The striker returned from a calf injury at Derby on Boxing Day and was given a standing ovation by the travelling Seasiders fans after he played a major part in the 2-0 win after Pool had won only one of four games without him. Holloway is delighted to have the 28-year-old back and told the Blackpool Gazette: "I thought at Derby Ben was magnificent. "He enabled Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Brett Ormerod to shine because he occupied two of their defenders with his fantastic skill and touch and link play. "That's why I cannot understand these people who have a go at him from time to time. It's probably only about 10 supporters but I am really going to get on their case because they should shut their mouths and I mean it."
