Blackpool suffer injury crisis ahead of Yeovil clash

Blackpool have been struck by an injury crisis ahead of Yeovil's trip to Bloomfield Road.

Kyle Vassell and Jack Payne both came off against Barnsley in midweek with hamstring problems, while Andy Taylor was forced off with a knee issue.

While Vassell and Payne will definitely miss out, defender Taylor had a scan on his knee and the club are awaiting the results.

Brad Potts and Colin Daniel were already missing with hamstring problems and if Eddie Nolan, who trained on Thursday, cannot return, the Seasiders could be without six players for the clash.

New signings Tom James and Brandon Goodship will hope to make their first starts for the Glovers.

Defender James and forward Goodship joined the Somerset club on free transfers last week with the latter coming on as a substitute during their 1-1 draw at Wycombe. Both have yet to start for Darren Way's side and are pushing for a spot.

But Yeovil will be without Alex Lawless (hip flexor), Otis Khan (ankle) and Ryan Hedges (ankle), although captain Darren Ward (knee) is likely to be in contention for selection after returning to training.

Yeovil will also be without West Brom forward Andre Wright after his loan move to Huish Park was cancelled due to EFL rules governing the number of clubs a player can represent in one season.
