Blackpool duo should be fit for Grimsby clash

Blackpool duo Bright Osayi-Samuel and Brad Potts are expected to be fit for the home clash with Grimsby.

Both players were forced off during the Seasiders' 1-0 defeat at Luton last weekend but boss Gary Bowyer confirmed Osayi-Samuel had only sustained a minor knock and Potts was struggling with cramp.

Striker Kyle Vassell continued his comeback from a foot injury with another 25-minute run-out at Kenilworth Road and he is now pushing to start.

The last-gasp loss against Luton was Blackpool's first in 10 matches and they dropped out of the play-off places as a result.

Grimsby manager Marcus Bignot indicated he would not change anything despite his side's 5-1 defeat at the hands of leaders Doncaster last weekend.

Midfielder Ben Davies missed the defeat with a calf injury but should be in contention to face the Seasiders at Bloomfield Road.

Forward Scott Vernon could also return to action after taking time to recover from a head injury sustained against Accrington on March 25.

Fellow striker Akwasi Asante failed to pass a late fitness test for the Rovers game and may push for a start for the Mariners.
