Blackpool trio to return for Cambridge clash

Blackpool will welcome Sam Slocombe, Andy Taylor and Clark Robertson back into their ranks for Cambridge's visit to Bloomfield Road.

Goalkeeper Slocombe has overcome a groin injury, though boss Gary Bowyer may still prefer to stick with Dean Lyness, who has played the past three games.

Taylor suffered a broken nose in the first half of the defeat to Crawley and missed out against Bolton in midweek as a result while Robertson has been out of the Seasiders' past two games with a knock.

Jack Redshaw (shin splints) is training again and Danny Pugh (foot) is also well on the comeback trail, yet this game comes too soon for the pair.

Cambridge will be without Leon Legge and Brad Halliday after they were both sent off in stoppage time last Saturday.

Defender Legge received a second yellow for his challenge on Terry Gornall and just two minutes later Halliday was dismissed for punching Matty Pearson's header off the line.

Manager Shaun Derry has no fresh injury concerns and Charles Dunne is expected to be in the starting XI.

The U's are looking for their fourth league win in a row.
