Bees hit back in Adomah fee row

The 22-year-old, who has rejected two offers of a new contract at Underhill, is a transfer target for the Championship club.[LNB]Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous, who revealed that talks between the two clubs broke down just two hours before the summer transfer window closed, told the Bees' official website: "We never quoted Blackpool a price.[LNB]"We merely said that we had received a written offer from one of many interested clubs and that they would have to match that. If paying the market rate is a ridiculous sum of money then they should set their sights lower because they only offered half of what we could have achieved elsewhere. There is no need for derogatory remarks.[LNB]"If Blackpool are still interested in signing him, as their manager is still saying, then we are prepared to do a deal but it's ludicrous asking us to do them a favour and lower the fee considering our position in League Two and theirs in the Championship.[LNB]"We have no axe to grind and we have made it clear we would not stand in Albert's way, or that of any other player, if they want to leave the club. But the right offer must come for us to consider doing business."[LNB][LNB]
