Barker cool on exit rumours

Blackpool defender Shaun Barker has played down speculation linking him with a move away from Bloomfield Road this summer.

The 26-year-old former Rotherham United man is rumoured to be interesting a number of clubs, but Barker is calm about the prospects.

He told the Blackpool Gazette: "I've heard nothing about anything definite, so at the moment it is just speculation.

"Obviously if it got any further with any clubs, then it goes to the chairman and the club first and then it will be my decision afterwards.

"A couple of years ago there was speculation about Leeds. I've played another two seasons at Blackpool since and been very happy here, and there is no reason why that shouldn't carry on."
