Bannan backed by Holloway

Blackpool loan midfielder Barry Bannan has been backed to impress during his time at Bloomfield Road.

The 19-year-old Aston Villa youngster made his Seasiders debut as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Preston North End and Holloway is adamant that Bannan will make a big impact.

He told the Blackpool Gazette: "Barry has got some real skill and ability and I think he'll be a big asset.

"I love talented players because I was very hard-working and very ordinary.

"So I want to surround myself with talented lads and if I can rub off on them a little and give them a bit of my enthusiasm for life, then we could be quite exciting to watch as a team."
