Armfield salutes safe Seasiders

The Seasiders can look forward to a third successive season in the second tier of English football after last weekend's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. Former Premier League sides Southampton and Charlton have been relegated to League One and Norwich could follow them this weekend. Armfield told the Blackpool Gazette: "I think the club should be proud of what the team has achieved. "We haven't scraped home. We have done it fairly comfortably in the end. "And when you look at the teams who are down there - big city clubs like Southampton and Norwich - you realise that it's a real achievement by Blackpool. I'm looking forward to next season."
