Adam pleased with Pool form

Blackpool star Charlie Adam is delighted with the form his team-mates are showing at this early stage of the season but believes there is more hard work to put in.

The Seasiders currently sit in a lofty fifth position and Adam has reason to celebrate himself after being called into the Scotland squad for their friendly against Wales on Saturday.

Speaking to The Gazette, he said: "There is no point kidding ourselves or denying it - it has been a fantastic start to the season and we are in a good position.

"We work hard for each other and it is great - that's the way it should be.

"But you never win trophies or get promoted in November."
