Adam makes Blackpool move

Blackpool beat Monday's transfer deadline to sign sign midfielder Charlie Adam on-loan from Rangers.

The 23-year-old winger has joined the Seasiders until the end of the season in a bid to play more first-team football following a series of injuries during recent season.

On deadline day, the Championship club also signed Royal Antwerp midfielder Francesco Carratta.

"They are welcome additions to the squad," joint caretaker manager Steve Thompson told the club's official website.

"It's competition for places and they'll come in and affect the squad.

"It's unprecedented how many injuries we've had to key players so hopefully they'll come in and bolster things up, and we may be able to get one or two back from injuries as well."
