Adam: Holloway deserves the credit

Adam, 23, has been in impressive form since joining the Seasiders from Rangers this summer and was rewarded when George Burley named his travelling party for next Saturday's friendly in Japan. The midfielder was quick to praise Blackpool boss Ian Holloway for rescuing him from reserve-team football at Ibrox. "It's been a major factor because I've managed to get back playing regular football," he told the BBC. "That was one of the reasons that I came here, because I wanted to play regularly and play every week and I've been given that opportunity so far by the manager. "If it wasn't for him and my team-mates then I wouldn't be in the same position that I'm in at the moment. "It's a fantastic day to be called back into the squad and hopefully I can kick on from here." He added: "Obviously, it's come at a good time when things have gone well for us as a team and that's probably one of the main reasons why I'm getting the opportunity to go back and show the manager what I can do." Adam, who has two caps, refused to dwell on his stop-start Rangers career, saying: "What's in the past is in the past. I look to the future and my future's at Blackpool."
