Vieri set for Blackburn trial

Vieri is set to join up with Rovers at the club's pre-season training camp in Austria, according to the Daily Mail. The former Juventus and Inter Milan forward is looking for a new club after leaving Serie A side Atalanta towards the end of last season. Vieri's availability has come to the attention of Allardyce as the striker is represented by former AC Milan defender Ibrahim Ba, who played under Allardyce at Bolton Wanderers. The striker was recently rejected by Brazilian sides Corinthians and Flamengo.
