Unrest stories baffle Warnock

Blackburn Rovers defender Stephen Warnock cannot understand where all the stories suggesting there is unrest behind the scenes at Ewood Park are coming from.

The former Liverpool left-back is shocked by reports of unhappiness in the Rovers squad, the latest of which saw Chilean forward Carlos Villanueva criticise Paul Ince.

However, Warnock told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "If you look at Carlos every day, he looks very happy and is getting to know the lads and is a good character to have around the place.

"That's the thing isn't it? Where do these stories come from?

"I think it's just one of those things. You can't do anything about it. The national press pick what they want to write and will stick with it as long as they can - it doesn't seem to matter if it's true.

"There's a great spirit in the club and I don't know where any of the reports come from."
