Blackburn Rovers striker Francis Jeffers could make a return to Ipswich Town to complete his loan spell after making a quick-fire recovery from a hamstring injury.
The 26-year-old had scored once in three games for the Tractor Boys, before being injured in the 5-2 victory at Hull City, but he could now head back to Portman Road in the near future.
Town boss Jim Magilton told the East Anglian Daily Times: "Frannie has done very well and is making better than expected progress.
"We would love to have him back and if everyone is agreed and we can be sure that we will get some games out of him, then we will sign him for the rest of the season.
"Frannie has shown a real willingness to come back and we have seen what he can do for us.
"We will get an honest assessment from the people at Blackburn and if it is right for us then he will be back."
