Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has handed a trial to the Iranian midfielder Andranik Teymourian, a player he worked with at Bolton Wanderers.
Allardyce signed the 27-year-old four years ago and is aware that the midfielder is a free agent after being released by Fulham at the end of last season.
Teymourian said last month: "My agent is studying offers from England, Spain and Germany as well as Iranian teams for the time being.
"Persepolis and Steel Azin have also contacted me but they have to wait. As I have already said I would rather continue my football in Europe."
Teymourian was signed by Allardyce for Bolton from Iranian outfit FC Aboomoslem in August 2006 and went on to score four goals in 30 appearances for the Trotters before moving to Fulham on a free transfer two years ago.
However, injuries restricted him to only two appearances for the Cottagers and he was loaned out to Barnsley in the second half of the 2008-09 campaign.
