Setback rules out Savage

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a setback in his recovery from a broken leg. The 32-year-old Wales international schemer has been sidelined since breaking his right leg against Watford in January, although Rovers had previously been hopeful that Savage would return before the summer. However, Rovers boss Mark Hughes admitted: "Robbie has had a little bit of a setback after doing exceptionally well. "There is a problem with the healing around the site of the injury. It probably takes him out of the equation for the rest of season. "We are disappointed, but it will not be a problem for him next season."
