Say sorry! Everton demand Diouf apology for 'groundless' racism claims
Angry Everton have demanded a full apology from Blackburn Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf following his 'groundless' allegations that he was racially abused by the club's supporters at last Sunday. The Senegal star is under investigation by Police for racially abusing a 14-year-old ball-boy during the 3-0 defeat. But the Merseyside force have refused to probe Diouf's comments that Everton fans threw bananas at him and now the Goodison club have urged the player to say sorry. Diouf, 28, had repeated his claims on Radio Monte Carlo, saying: 'People threw bananas at me, and the referee told me that he would report this to the police.'
